February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Shelia's Blog, you're on the right track. If this is your starting point, you're in for a real treat! This month we have over 70 consultants sharing their fantastic work with the February Stamp of the Month, Piece of Cake (D1407).

The first card I made is an easel card. The card is 4.25" square. I used the new Veranda paper pack, along with the February Stamp of the Month. On the birthday cake, I used the paper piecing technique for the cake and cake stand. I then colored in the candles with marker. Inks used are Chocolate and Creme Brulee.

The second card I created is a simple birthday card. The recipe is found on page 119 of the Wishes card book. It is the "Gallery" card and is rotated 90 degrees clockwise from the picture in the book.

I love that cards do not need to be elaborate to be cards from the heart! I used Jingle paper, Creme Brulee and Cocoa ink, Jiniper, Tulip, and Creme Brulee markers, and the February Stamp of the Month.

I hope you were inspired on your stop here! Now hop to Jen's Blog to see what beautiful artwork she's created! :)

Birthday Layouts

Last night I worked on getting JD's 3rd birthday and Ethan's 2nd birthday into layouts for their albums. They are growing up so fast!!

JD's layout was one I created over a month ago, but wasn't sure which pictures to put into it. When I pulled out his professional pics, I knew this layout was made for those pictures!! Took me about five minutes to slap the pictures on and journal.

Ethan's took a little more work, because he is wearing Christmas colors, but I didn't want his layout to be Christmasy. (Is that a word?) The coolest thing about Ethan's pictures is that the sweater in the bottom of the right page is the sweater Grandma Jane made for Daddy when he was little! It fit Ethan perfectly for his birthday pictures!!
